The Evaluator ensures compliance with DOT CFR 49 part 192 subpart N and CFR 49 part 195 subpart G (the OQ rule) as it relates to qualified personnel conducting tasks on pipeline facilities. This position entails conducting on-site and field evaluations in accordance with DOT, OQ providers, and Operator policies and procedures by effectively evaluating candidates task knowledge. Must be willing to travel throughout the East region (PA,OH, WV, VA, NC, SC, NY, MD, NJ, DE, CT, MA, RI, NH, ME).

 

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conducts Operators and contractor OQ evaluations, as needed, to ensure candidates are properly qualified and meet all qualification requirements.

• Delivers training.

• Maintains all evaluation documentation.

• Coordinates and cultivates inter-company support/interaction as needed.

• Promotes and champions company training systems and services.

• Other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Minimum of 3 tp 5 years of experience in the Pipeline industry. (3+ years of fusion experience preferred) 

• Knowledge of DOT Operator Qualification Rules and its application to the industry.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office.

• Demonstrated experience coordinating and communicating information across company lines.

• Ability to conduct individual or small group training sessions.

• Ability to organize and prioritize daily work, focus on details, follow policies/procedures, and maintain confidentiality.

• Strong writing and communication skills.

 

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

General office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require standing and walking for up to 50% of the time. There are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Must be willing to travel approx. 40% - 60% of the time throughout the region (PA,OH, WV, VA, NC, SC, NY, MD, NJ, DE, CT, MA, RI, NH, ME)
