DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator, you will gain progressively responsible experience in the maintenance, operation, and regulatory compliance of the large and complex sewage treatment plant at Prince Gallitzin State Park. The running of the plant is a (7) day a week operation and you may be scheduled to work weekends, evenings, and holidays. In this role, you will assist with the operation, maintenance and repair of various electric motors, pumps, compressors, valves, sand filters, chlorinators, aerators, water softeners, flow meters, liquid level mercury switches and related equipment. You will also assist in collecting wastewater samples and performing chemistry tests, as well as the preparation of all regular reports for the sewer and water systems.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. You will be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Successful completion of the Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Trainee (commonwealth title) program and certification as a wastewater treatment plant operator for any class and type of plant; or Possession of a valid certification issued by the Pennsylvania State Board for Certification of Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators as a wastewater treatment plant operator for any class and type of plant. Special Requirements: This position requires you to have possession of a valid certification issued by the Pennsylvania State Board for Certification of Water and Wastewater System Operators as a wastewater treatment plant operator that is equal to or greater than the classification and sub classification of the wastewater system to be operated or maintained. (Class C - subclass 1 sewage license). This position requires possession of an active Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent. How to Apply:
