Job Title: Drum Plant OperatorOverview: Working with Plant Supervisor on all aspects of ProductionSafety Expectations: All Suit-Kote employees are required to comply with all safety rules and to observe safe work practices and operating procedures at all times. Whenever on Suit-Kote property or job sites, or operating Suit- Kote equipment, employees are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that promotes the safety of the employee, co-workers and others.Responsibilities/Job Duties:•Load and Unload liquid materials into tankers and bulk storage tanks•Keep workplace clean and organized•Operate forklift and other equipment when needed•Run errands and pick up supplies when needed•Ability to follow direction•Performing other duties around the emulsion plant as required•Record inventories, run sheets and inspections daily.•Operating and maintaining valves, pumps, hand/power tools and cutting grass around the facility•Painting, sweeping, shoveling •Working overtime and on weekends when needed•Work from heights and in confined spaces (cleaning out bulk storage tanks)Required Skills/Abilities:•OSHA 10 Hour Safety Certificate•Passing a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening is required and a background check will be conducted•High school diploma or GED is preferred•Reliable transportation to and from work site•Must be able to lift 50 pounds, read a tape measure and be good in basic math•Strong work ethic, self-starter and the willingness to help out the team•Must have a clean motor-vehicle recordPhysical Requirements:•Must be able to lift 50 pounds•Observe and comply with necessary PPE requirements•Must be able to work in a noisy area with many odors present•Bending, stretching, stooping, kneeling, crawling and squattingOther Preferred Qualities:•Ability to read and understand SDS •Hazmat endorsement a plus•Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office) Salary Rate: $20.00 - $21.00/hourAdditional Duties: This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed.
