Boeing Global Services is currently seeking a Mid-Level Product Review Engineer to become part of the Commercial Derivative Team in San Antonio, TX.

The Product Review Engineer will support all structural and Electrical requests to develop interim or final engineering solutions to product/process issues throughout production and/or for technical, operational and quality issues. This Liaison Engineering/Design Engineering role is needed to support the Commercial, Military, and Commercial Derivative aircraft fleets on contract for modifications, storage, annual and time-based life cycle checks.

The team member will support the Executive Transport Fleet platform which is comprised of 737, 757, and 747. Other airframes are KC-46, 787, 777, KC-135, and B-52.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Experience with reading/creating Engineering drawings, specifications, processes and design manuals.

  • Experience with researching engineering designs in order to develop defect solutions to product/ process issues for production or simple technical in-service issues.

  • Experience with assisting with analyses, root cause analysis and drafting dispositions for non-conformances.

  • Experience collecting, researching, and evaluating issues for product/process improvement opportunities that may include recurrent product issues.

  • Experience with the design of structural and electrical rework/repairs to restore the aircraft or system to original design capability.

  • Experience with avionics systems troubleshooting, wire bundle installations, and aircraft electrical systems troubleshooting.

  • Ability to work 2nd Shift.

  • Other duties as assigned.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

This Hybrid position allows some telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options (San Antonio, TX). This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's or Master's of Science degree from an accredited course of study in Mechanical, Aeronautical, Civil or Structural Engineering.

  • Willing to Travel Domestically and internationally as needed up to 20%.

  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, Power Point, Excel, and Word.

  • 5+ years’ experience in an engineering classification.

  • 3+ years’ experience with one or more areas of aircraft structures such as design, strength, fatigue.

  • 3+ years’ experience performing Material Review Board (MRB) product review.

  • MRB certified or have been in the past 2 years.

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:

Summary pay range: $90,100 - $121,900
