Nvidia Electro Optics Product Engineer in Yokneam, Israel

In this position you will join NVIDIA product engineering team to build and lead a high-performance engineering team delivering the next generation of electro optical devices for high speed communication in data centers. We are looking for an electrical engineer to join our product engineering group that is based in Yokneam, Israel for characterization of Innovative high-speed electro-optic communication components. In this position you will join NVIDIA product engineering team to be a part of a high-performance engineering team delivering the next generation of electro optical devices for high speed communication in data centers.

What you’ll be doing:

  • The selected candidate will be characterizing and performing tests of electro-optical components.

  • This job allows you to work in a sophisticated, exciting engineering environment supporting the development of future components and exploring new technologies.

  • The task will include building and operating test setups with optical fibers, lasers, optics and electronics.

What we need to see:

  • We are looking for a creative and independent Product Engineer.

  • BSc or MSc degree in Electrical Engineering/ Physics/ related degree in engineering or electro-optics fields is required.

  • 3+ years of experience in characterizing of semiconductors lasers and photodetectors for fiber optic communication is an advantage.

  • Ability to work in a team with varied strengths, strong social skills and a real passion for working as a team are substantial.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Knowledge in electro-optics devices testing including laser diodes and photo diodes.

  • Familiar with electro-optical and high-speed lab environment (optical table, light coupling, fibers and probe station).

  • Self-learner, independent, motivated, organized, and reliable person.

  • Programming skills in MATLAB/ Python.

  • Proficient in English.
